1999 Ford Focus St - Cat-back Exhaust Drone? Racing Catback Exhau

I'm looking for deep tone, not super loud, but most importantly, no drone Switched to a milltek turbo back which is.

I had an 89 16v vw gli back in my early 20s with a big magnaflow on it that droned like crazy on the freeway, and it. For instance, i had the stock exhaust with the rear muffler removed I know it always come down to personal preference but any advice is welcome.

Yesterday i installed the novus catback on my focus, but i noticed a lot of drone while accelerating or driving at highway speeds, any idea what could help getting rid of the drone?

Is this normal for this system

Founded in 1983 by a true car enthusiast, milltek have grown to become. I use to road trip my st with an mbrp exhaust very long distances 16.hour drives from eastern missouri to central colorado It was livable but i like a performance sounding exhaust all the time.

Most of the 3 catbacks have drone with the exception of thermal r&d and one of two others Sell your roush and get a borla, ford performance or mountune cat back. When i purchased my son's st it had the roush catback on it Lots of interior drone at any speed

I would also say it's nowhere as deep or aggressive sounding as the mbrp that replaced it.

I've been reading and reading and reading, and it seems that with every catback out there, one guy says it has no drone, only to have someone else respond saying the drone from that setup. Its all welded shut professionally so i know there are no leaks Hi people, i've had my exhaust fitted well over 6 months now which includes a mongoose downpipe, 100 cell bcs race cat and a mongoose cat back but i get drone in the usual places between. Tightened the actuator back up and all sorted

Performance restored and no more drone So miltek catback with decat and downpipe does not drone (any more ) it was my own fault, i backed. The thermal r&d exhaust is 3 inch with no drone Milltek resonated, ford performance (which is borla with an additional resonator), magnaflow are all good 2.5 inch choices.

I was just going to put this on one of the hundred threads already posted, but figured it was going to get lost in the sea of posts, and the people who'd want to see it would have a hard time.

I have the roush cat back right now and it’s just too much and i plan to road trip the car and don’t wanna deal. I don't think pipe diameter is a good predictor of drone
