I recently accepted delivery on a 2001 toyota 4runner with 130,000 miles I had found it out of state and even though i’d normally never do this, i bought it sight unseen. Hey there names danny and new to the site figured i'd start a build thread to look at the progress on my rig some day Last year i purchased a 2001 sr5 4runner.
She had 203k on the clock. This thing is so much fun and easy to go offroading in The last trip out the entire top of 2 mountains were covered in ice (slick, and solid, ice scating rink was an accurate description), it was. The gears came out of a v6 w/ e locker
So you are saying they are different gears
Don't believe anything i say unless you are absolutely sure that i know what i'm talking. This will be my second 4runner and i also had a '98 built tj Will update and add pictures as i progress through the build and get out and explore. I've never been able to get caster as far in the green as i'd like with a lift on any vehicle but that's to be expected when we start changing the engineered geometry and relationship of these.
