I have a p0171 code for my 08' outback 2.5l and so far have only replaced my maf The things i run into are It's a new (er) motor and transmission Body mileage is 200k, engine and drivetrain is about 5k.
Nice thread, and a great vehicle I could have done almost everything i wanted with my 2008 outback, but the turbo and manual tranny left me with very little torque for steep rocky roads. Don't go with older tires with little tread (7/32 was my subaru cutoff for harder terrain by subaru standards), marginal brakes, axles.
