I mean, i'm sure it's decent but they also have to make it pass federal exhaust noise regs, so it won't flow as. I will say 4.0s with louder exhausts sound way. Drop the exhaust and start it so you know what it'll sound like before spending money for a muffler you'll hate

In my opinion, with no muffler the truck isn't terribly loud, but doesn't sound low and muscular, it sounds. I cut off everything from the second cat back on my 95 4.0 and it was loud, but it droned so bad once i got to about 60 I don’t recommend straight piping a ranger.
