If you absolutely must do a cheap exhaust mod find a good hiflow muffler and have it welded in.

So yeah, it shouldn't be too bad, but consider in future maybe investing in a resonator or hotdog to drop the volume a couple of notches, and to smooth out the potentially rough note. I cannot understand why people delete the muffler on the miata, it reduces back pressure, actually reduces performance, and makes the car less desirable to drive. The isr muffler delete is essentially just a massive 3 blast cannon, and it did not disappoint
