The factory fmic has the ac condensor in the way of the fmic, so, you get less flow to the fmic to cool things down
The ecs one sits in front of the ac condensor, with only the bumper. Apparently the wagner tuning fmic is the best one when it comes to power gains I'm torn between a fmic and the s3/r replacement I wouldn't be fitting any cheap unbranded chinese rubbish for sale on ebay to a golf r.

Cons of adding the fmic vs upgrading the intercooler I was thinking about weight (now 2 cooling components vs 1) but i don't. What fmic are you guys running?? (onequickg60) well, i decided to gather some info from websites, tech/user reviews, etc (gotta love the internet) and i came up with my decision
Bigger intercooler doesn't increase turbo lag.i have experience on both twin cooler and fmic on your specific car i would just do fmic
