Coilovers improve handling and are more adjustable, but are more expensive. Although lowering springs get the stance, your suspension geometry would be better maintained by coilovers, if you can save a bit, go for that option. Although a little stiffer ride quality when compared to lowering springs, coilovers execute that desired aggressive stance that you cannot achieve with lowering springs.
